Established in 1985, Chapin Hall's areas of research include child welfare systems, community capacity to support children and families, and youth homelessness.
Chapin Hall has an annual budget of $24M and employs approximately 150 full-time staff, 40% of whom reside outside of the state of Illinois. Funding sources include a diverse array of grant and contract vehicles with federal, state, and local governments, as well as with private foundations.
