ABOUT THE ROLE

The Field Superintendent oversees all field operations on precast construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is responsible for managing site activities, including layout, staging, deliveries, erection, bracing, equipment coordination, and crew supervision. The Field Superintendent works closely with project stakeholders to ensure efficient execution, quality control, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Salary range $76,900-$100,000 a year. Based on experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Oversee all field construction activities including erection, sequencing, staging, and site coordination
  • Lead and direct field foremen, crews, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Promote and enforce all safety standards, including OSHA and company-specific requirements
  • Coordinate daily with dispatch, general contractors, and project teams on scheduling and logistics
  • Review drawings, perform field checks, and ensure proper alignment using survey equipment
  • Determine erection sequencing and coordinate crane placement and lift planning
  • Ensure compliance with PCI standards, safety procedures, and project specifications
  • Conduct jobsite planning visits and support project start-up coordination
  • Prepare and submit required documentation including NCRs and PCI field audits
  • Troubleshoot field issues and support resolution of constructability or installation challenges


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced construction professional with strong expertise in precast erection and field operations. They are a confident leader who can effectively manage crews, coordinate complex jobsite logistics, and ensure safe, efficient project execution. This individual is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at interpreting plans, managing sequencing, and solving field challenges in real time. They bring strong communication and leadership abilities and consistently drive accountability, safety, and quality in all aspects of field operations.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • 7+ years of precast erection experience or 10+ years in field construction
  • Knowledge of precast concrete systems, erection methods, and construction sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings
  • Understanding of crane operations, crane charts, and rigging coordination
  • Experience using survey equipment for layout and alignment verification
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage crews and drive performance
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel to job sites
