ABOUT THE ROLE

The EHS Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and maintenance of Wells' safety programs across plant, field, and contractor operations. This role assists with training, audits, incident investigations, compliance tracking, and safety culture initiatives. The Safety Coordinator works closely with the EHS team to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe work environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Support implementation of company safety programs across plant and field operations
  • Conduct job safety analyses, safety audits, and assist with corrective actions
  • Deliver new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training
  • Maintain OSHA compliance documentation, training records, and safety reporting
  • Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support workers' compensation case management and return-to-work coordination
  • Help ensure compliance with environmental permits and spill reporting requirements
  • Maintain SDS files and safety documentation systems
  • Provide on-site and field safety support to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist in promoting and reinforcing a strong safety culture across all levels
  • Coordinate and support Safety Committee meetings and initiatives
  • Track certifications, licenses, and training requirements for employees

They are organized, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple teams to support compliance, training, and incident response activities. This individual communicates effectively, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and accountability are top priorities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High school diploma required; associate degree in safety or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of safety, compliance, or administrative support experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices preferred
  • Experience with data tracking systems or learning management systems a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
