ABOUT THE ROLE

The Field Foreman is a hands-on leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the installation of precast concrete structures. This position leads daily jobsite activities, directs crews, and works closely with dispatch, crane operators, and contractors to maximize productivity and maintain project schedules. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the Foreman ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Lead and direct daily activities of laborers and field crew
  • Coordinate with Field Supervisors and crane operators to ensure safe, efficient operations
  • Perform and oversee general construction labor for precast installation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, brace plans, and crane plans to guide daily work
  • Coordinate daily sequencing, load times, and truck schedules with dispatch
  • Ensure proper layout and elevations using transit, level, or total station
  • Track and manage tools, materials, and installation hardware on-site
  • Complete required documentation, including PCI paperwork and reports
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure crew compliance
  • Communicate effectively with contractors and team members to maintain workflow


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in precast installation and a commitment to safety and quality. They are proactive, dependable, and capable of managing crews while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment. This individual communicates effectively, leads by example, and takes ownership of project success from start to finish.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2+ years of precast installation experience
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Certified welder preferred
  • Valid Class C driver's license required
  • Strong knowledge of precast construction practices and jobsite safety
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Experience operating survey equipment (total station, transit, level)
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
