ABOUT THE ROLE

The Laborer is responsible for assisting in the installation of sealants, caulking, waterproofing, coatings, and firestopping systems on buildings, ramps, and other construction structures. This role involves supporting field crews in preparing surfaces, applying materials, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Salary range $20-$25 an hour. Based on location and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Safety of crew/personnel, including proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Sealing of all precast and concrete joints and installation of other sealant or waterproofing systems.
  • Patching and restoration of concrete or other similar surfaces as needed.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean jobsite and trailer/truck.
  • Follow direction of the field supervisor and foreman and bring any problems to their attention.
  • Complete special projects as requested and perform other duties as assigned.


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused team player with prior construction experience and a strong work ethic in a hands-on field environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, willing to travel, and able to learn and apply sealant and waterproofing scopes while maintaining high quality standards. This individual communicates effectively, works well both independently and with a crew, and consistently demonstrates professionalism on all job sites.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • 2 years prior construction experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle; precast concrete and construction site experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Professional attitude with the ability to represent the company appropriately on all job sites
  • Self-motivated and driven to complete tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn and apply scopes of work within the sealants and restoration industry
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for job assignments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete projects efficiently


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
