ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Hardware Assembler, you assist in the fabrication and assembly of mounting hangers and embed placement devices used in precast panel formwork. This role ensures plates and embeds are accurately positioned and secured prior to concrete casting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Work effectively as part of a team with strong communication skills
  • Operate forklift to deliver plates and materials safely and efficiently
  • Use shop tools and equipment including drill presses, chop saws, hand drills, screw guns, grinders, and post-tension jack
  • Fabricate hangers and holders for embeds to ensure proper placement within or over molds
  • Deliver and stage hangers/holders with embedded components at casting tables, ensuring pallets are properly marked
  • Cut and prepare materials including post-tension cables, aircraft cables, and threaded rod for lifter bolts
  • Clean, prepare, and maintain lifter cups, lifters, and related hardware components
  • Prepare panel hardware according to blueprints and shop tickets
  • Identify and correct hardware errors on tables and ensure complete hardware kits for panels
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including general department housekeeping and safety upkeep

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team player with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working with tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual takes pride in quality work and supports production by ensuring accurate hardware assembly.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • On-the-job training is offered
  • Some rebar or construction experience is preferred
  • Ability to use hand and power tools


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
