Position Summary:

This position reports to the Controller and Assistant Controller supporting the Finance function by developing and enhancing timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting and analysis, while ensuring compliance with GAAP.

FLSA: Exempt

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller in development of monthly results and account analysis.
  • Assist in development of internal control policy and procedure documentation, as well as process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in monthly financial statement close process.
  • Primary responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of the Vendor Master database in Oracle EBS, including adding new vendors and confirming bank payment instructions.
  • Significant responsibilities in fixed asset accounting, including entering/updating records in Sage database for assets placed in service and depreciation projections.
  • Other special projects and routine responsibilities as directed by Finance Dept. leadership.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree or Master's in Finance and/or Accounting required.
  • CPA preferable, but not required.
  • Work experience: 3-7 years practical experience in either an operating/product-driven company, public accounting company, or a mix required.
  • Operation in an ERP environment required, with specific experience with Oracle EBS strongly preferred.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and personal integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively interact directly with senior management.
  • Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Flexibility to work under the direction of more than one individual and balance conflicting workloads.
  • Strong in all Microsoft office programs, especially Excel.
  • Hands on with willingness to dig into detail to understand root causes and solve problems.
  • Self-driven, intellectually curious individual with high sense of personal ownership.
  • Aggressive, results driven personality, but with ability to work with others diplomatically across all levels of the organization.
  • Someone who defines success based on problems solved and improvements made.
  • Looks beyond the status quo to the way things should be, unafraid to address obstacles standing between today and the ideal future state.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
