Summary The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer - RNG will work primarily on industrial biotechnology and energy projects. The candidate shall have experience surrounding the design, commissioning, maintenance and operations of renewable natural gas facilities including knowledge of carbon intensity modeling (GREET), digester feed handling, anaerobic digestion design biogas purification, and handling of digestion discharge streams and all related applicable engineering codes. This Maintenance and Reliability Engineer will play a key role in the successful operating and maintaining of RNG production sites. This role will also be a leader in continuous improvement of our design and engineering of sites through direct feedback with our engineering team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Commissioning Preparation: o Participate and monitor plant commissioning in North of America (US and Canada) o Track checklist progress for prerequisites and conditions necessary for the commissioning of RNG site equipment, in coordination with the Project Manager o Review safety plan and strategy related to commissioning activities, in coordination with Clean Energy's safety department * Operational Support and Reliability Improvement: o Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance. o Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems. o Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve equipment failures and reliability issues. o Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. o Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components. o Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities, including scheduling and execution of repairs and inspections. o Develop and maintain maintenance documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and maintenance logs. o Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel. o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall plant reliability and efficiency. o Document any learnings and feedback recorded during commissioning to improve future installations o Ensure CE or 3rd party operators are trained to perform basic maintenance and operation of the equipment Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience * Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline, BS in mechanical, electrical or equivalent. Knowledges in electricity and process. * Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability, preferably in the energy or industrial sector. Experience in renewable energies is valued. * Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with management levels. * Knowledge of safety regulation and best practices in an industrial setting. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. The ability to communicate effectively with multiple project stakeholders. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Excellent problem solving through root cause analysis process. Computer Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Microsoft D365 Field Service experience a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Professional Engineer (PE) license.
