Description

As a valued member of the Advancement team the Assistant Director of Advancement Services will be responsible for assisting the Office of University Advancement Operations team in reporting, maintaining donor data, and CRM training.
The applicant will be responsible for the creation and assisting in the creation of reports, implementing policies to guide data entry, and ensuring that the database effectively captures constituent and donor information. Assistance in the management of database and donor records, matching gifts, processing and accounting of all gifts, and prospect research will also be required. Will also be the CRM specialist and will train users and document processes." Responsibilities
  • Performs data analysis by cleaning, transforming, and modeling data to extract useful information for decision-making and strategic planning; segments the database for more effective fundraising solicitations.
  • Builds, reviews, and executes regular and ad hoc reports, both gift and biographical, and responds to ad hoc requests for lists and information.
  • Analyzes business needs to develop and edit queries and reports written with SQL
  • Oversees the monthly distribution of gift reports and quarterly distribution pledge reminders, ensuring they are distributed timely and accurately. Maintaining a catalog of available reports in the Advancement database and ensuring fulfillment of internal and external data requests
  • Assists in the management of donor database - process gifts, pledges, matching gifts, gifts-in-kind, payroll deductions, pledge write-offs, and reversing entries. Database updates, including online alumni updates, and survey responses.
  • Serves as the Advancement conversion project leader by becoming an expert in Affinaquest and working with each program area within Advancement to document and translate business processes to the new CRM.
  • Provides support (in person and virtually) to users and small groups to encourage basic and expanded usage of the system.

Job Specific Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have strong experience working with complex relational databases; experience managing data acquisition and data organization; and proficient with SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently manage projects.
  • Experience in Affinaquest a Salesforce environment preferred.
  • Experience in the operations of the Advancement Office desired.
  • Basic knowledge of IRS regulations, CASE standards, and FASB regulations is required.

  • This is a full-time, exempt-level position. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees.
