Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Communications Specialist to join our talented Professional Services team. The successful candidate will be a part of the Strategic Communications team for our federal client. The candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and informative communication as well as providing strategic communication support for our federal client.

Responsibilities

    Develop, implement, and evaluate refined strategic communications plans
  • Support complex strategic communications projects for the Federal Government with a focus on mission, strategy, communications, and innovation
  • Provide communications support to staff throughout the organization, ensuring that all communication approaches are aligned with client's objectives and priorities
  • Identify prime delivery methods for content, including text, multi-media, video, social media, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate email marketing campaigns
  • Advance communications through new outreach mechanisms
  • Work with content owners to develop website content
  • Participate in planning/execution of communication training


Qualifications

Required

  • A BA/BS degree in the related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in Communications related support activities
  • Experience developing communications plans
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Quickly picks up content, processes, and new software
  • Ability to think creatively to propose new ideas for content
  • Experience using communications analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Experience in stakeholder and audience analysis
  • Mastery of skills related to document preparation, such as reports and deliverables
  • Initiative to complete tasks with little to no follow-on guidance
  • Experience in using a variety of media to communicate to diverse audiences
  • Excellent and dynamic interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with people at all levels
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, and able to quickly summarize progress
  • Excellent written communication skills, including plain language and content for the web, to also include the ability to quickly summarize any subject and put the bottom-line up front
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and creatively
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative team player
  • Flexible, openness to feedback, and willing to do all levels of work required to make a project successful
  • Ability to collaborate with and promote a positive relationship between colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to maintain government eligibility requirements
  • This is a Full-Time, W-2 remote position, with the ability to work onsite in Rockville MD infrequently and as needed.
