Primary Responsibilities



  • In the role of Colorado Area Remediation Program Lead, we'll count on you to:
  • Manage a remediation team in the Area Waste Sector including engineers, scientists, geologists, and hydrogeologists;
  • Support senior leadership in setting vision for Area Waste Sector and direction for implementation of HDR's goal to expand and provide services associated with site investigation and remediation in Colorado and throughout the Western United States;
  • Monitor the group's key performance indicators and implement any necessary actions for improvement;
  • Drive the identification and pursuit of new opportunities to grow the site investigation and remediation business;
  • Lead and manage client relationships and be involved with marketing, business development, and contract negotiations; and
  • Perform project management responsibilities for multiple, concurrent remediation projects, including preparing and managing scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and issue resolution


Preferred Qualifications



  • Minimum of 15 years of environmental remediation project management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing remediation staff
  • Must reside in the Colorado after position is accepted
  • Must have the ability to identify and write technical proposals for complex remediation investigations, feasibility studies, and/or remedial designs
  • Must have experience managing large remediation projects in the Western United States
  • Must have the ability to interact with various investigation and design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or closely related field
  • Professional engineering (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license, OSHA HAZWOPER certification
  • Experience managing CERCLA remediation projects in the Western United States

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 10 years experience
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Colorado: $124,740.00 - $178,200.00
