Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine, and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine are the three Caribbean based medical schools run by Adtalem.

The Content Manager will be responsible for managing the efficient delivery of creative and content across channels to successfully engage prospective students for each of these universities. This position partners with all members of the Institutional Marketing group, channel teams (digital, social, email, paid), creatives, and other key stakeholders across the student lifecycle to ensure smooth project flow, adherence to timelines, and proper integration of brand messaging.

The Content Manager will be the lead account and process manager for the Med Vet schools on the Content & Creative Center of Excellence, as well as partner with account teams across institutions to maintain a complex non-working budget for the department.

The Adtalem Creative and Content COE is growing to bring best-in-class creative to market that is Brand-led and also channel-specific.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize status updates, workflow, prioritization, and planning processes across initiatives. Review and manage brief intake and evaluation processes for all creative needs of the content and creative team.
  • Lead the evaluation and development of creative briefs in conjunction with Institutional Marketing and product marketing to ensure clarity and efficiency in project delivery and brand needs. Manage agency communication to ensure understanding and alignment with overall direction and process.
  • Oversee and manage the delivery against paid digital, social, and email briefs and creative needs, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget while working with internal and external creative resources.
  • Coordinate and streamline workflows with the social team across existing and emerging social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok) to ensure consistent and efficient content and creative delivery.
  • Act as a liaison with various internal functional departments including Research, Business Intelligence, Media, Public Relations, Legal, and Academics to facilitate information gathering and ensure process adherence for creative assignments.
  • Manage creative budgets and execution of authorized plans, purchase orders, and vendor payments. Proactively address communication with agencies and outside vendors for billing issues and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and maintain accurate spending forecasts, updating as needed. Implement and manage all activities for advertising budget tracking.
  • Establish and monitor campaign performance KPIs with a focus on enrollments and brand development. Design and implement scorecards, reports, and other tracking tools to track and analyze results of marketing/advertising campaigns and programs. Present findings and recommendations to ensure goals are met.
  • Coordinate and manage agency presentations on ongoing competitive positioning, spend, and analysis.
  • Maintain and optimize a comprehensive DAM portal, ensuring organized storage and accessibility of all creative assets developed for Med Vet.
  • Work with our brand and other agencies and internal teams to develop, refine, and/or execute the following, as needed:
    • Communications guidelines, development, and maintenance of all image libraries - images, product shots, illustration/icons.
    • Execution of brand platform, including creative audits, updates, and refreshes.
    • Campaign style and messaging guides.
    • Maintain and update library of legal and competitive claims.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field).
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of project management/account management and progressive marketing experience is required. Agency experience is a plus.
  • Highly Organized and Process-Driven:The emphasis on managing complex projects, workflows, and budgets suggests someone who thrives in structured environments and excels at detailed planning.
  • Project Management and Account Management Expertise:The role requires a strong background in these areas, with experience in managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
  • Marketing and Creative Workflow Understanding:The candidate should have a solid grasp of how creative projects are developed and delivered, including brief creation, agency management, and content distribution across various channels.
  • Budget Management and Financial Acumen:Experience in managing large, non-working budgets, handling invoices, and working with finance departments is crucial.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills:The role requires effective communication with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Digital Marketing Channels:Familiarity with paid digital, social media, and email marketing is preferred.
  • Interest in Higher Education Marketing:Specifically, an interest in the medical and veterinary fields, as the role focuses on promoting these schools.
  • Ability to Work Cross-Functionally:The ability to work with many different departments is very important.
  • Experience with DAM systems:Experience with Digital Asset Management systems is a must.
  • Willingness to travel periodically, anticipating travelling once every 2 - 3 months for corporate meetings and/or creative production.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70,696 and $124,230. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
