RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to help grow our Osteoporosis and Bone Health Program! This position requires someone who is detail-oriented and loves to make a difference in their patients' lives. This is the opportunity to help guide this growing program as it continues to expand care to our community. This is a part-time, 20-29 hours/week position with weekday shifts and the chance to be part of an amazing team!

We are excited to meet highly motivated NP or PA applicants who have clinical knowledge and excellent people skills. One of the program's primary goals is to prevent future fractures. In this role, you will work in collaboration with Restorative Medicine's Medical Director to evaluate and manage care for patients with a special emphasis on bone health or osteoporosis, which includes direct management through appropriate medical consultation and appropriate treatments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(85%) Patient Care



  • Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
  • Reviews patient history and complete appropriate consents forms as needed
  • Administers and prescribes medications and treatments in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
  • This position requires an independent, self-driven professional to promote and expand the patient population for our osteoporosis program
  • Responsible for managing all osteoporosis patients by providing education, treatment, and testing.
  • Implements appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies and therapeutic measures
  • Assures proper documentation in the EMR system
  • Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol


(10%) Administrative Duties



  • Completes required administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner


(5%) Performs related work as assigned



  • Required to meet with outside providers to educate them on the benefits of our osteoporosis program and obtain referrals as indicated


Required:



  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • NP or Physician Assistant license and certification, current and in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)


This position is classified as an exempt position and reports to the Medical Director.
