Hall Lead -Mental Health Associate-Respect, Integrity, and RISE Halls Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. Much more available online at: www.alabamaclinicalschools.com The Hall Lead Mental Health Associate The Mental Health Associate (MHA)- Hall Lead provides direct care to adolescents residents with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. Hall Leads have the primary responsibility for ensuring the resident's safety on the unit utilizing a therapeutic approach to all tasks including assistance with daily activities, facilitation of groups and assisting with the intake and discharge process. Hall Leads are responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing crisis intervention, and setting a good example for MHAs. Hall leads also assist in training new MHAs. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelors or Associates degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or other related mental health field preferred. Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills Able to safely monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention. Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred. Successfully pass background screen (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug testing. |
