MHT Milieu Manager Opportunity This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The Meadows Psychiatric Center is the leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania. We are located a short distance outside State College, PA. The Meadows is a 119 inpatient behavioral health hospital and has been providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults for over 35 years. Responsibilities include: The MHT Milieu Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of the facilities Mental Health Technicians. The MHT Milieu Manager regularly ensures the safety and security of the facility at all times by monitoring the movement of the units, ensuring programming is followed, and supporting direct care staff. Responsible for the implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, managing staff performance through coaching and supervision, execution of performance reviews, improvement plans, and corrective actions. The MHT Milieu Manager actively works to support the facility mission and treatment team for providing a safe environment. The MHT Milieu Manager is a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total patient care through implantation of appropriate therapeutic approaches within the therapeutic environment. The MHT Milieu Manager provides direct patient care under the supervisors of a Registered Nurse. Provides real time supervision and support to MHT staff on the units, mentors staff, and sets high expectations for the MHT role. The MHT Milieu Manager is additionally responsible for the implementation of education, training, and orientation programs. In addition, the manager will assist with psychiatric emergencies and crisis drills as needed. The MHT Milieu works with Nurse Managers and Staffing Coordinator to manage shift schedules for MHTs to maintain unit assignments and proper staffing ratios while maximizing workflow, minimizing overtime/missed meal breaks, and maintaining the safety and security of the units. Will cover shifts as needed to ensure proper staffing ratios. Qualifications Requirements:
