EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of three-years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs.
  • Minimum of five-years of experience in a higher education environment.


Preferred Education and Experience



  • Master's degree.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan


    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to obtain desired outcomes with regulatory initiatives.
    • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned to accomplish strategic priorities.
    • Audit programs and locations of assigned areas to ensure readiness and compliance with academic standards.
    • Assess for potential and existing areas of vulnerability and risk as it relates to accreditation and regulatory compliance and communicate identified concerns with AVP of Academic Compliance for intervention.
    • Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities with accuracy to meet established timelines and strategic priorities.
    • Coordinate with location and program leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are being conducted and minutes, action items, and communications are documented appropriately.


  • Maintain institutional knowledge and awareness of regulatory standards


    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge/repositories of state, institutional accreditation, and programmatic accreditation standards and procedures for assigned areas and locations of focus.
    • Develop resources to navigate the complexities of varying standards across different regions and programs.
    • Develop and maintain documents that illustrate the variation in standards across locations, programs, and states with the associated deadlines and timeframes.
    • Demonstrate responsiveness to requests for research on regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain documentation, project plans, and resources on MyHerzing for assigned programs and locations of focus.
    • Maintain records of dates of submission so that follow-up can be conducted as needed.
    • Provide training for university constituents on state, accreditation, and relevant regulatory standards.


  • Provides project management to regulatory reporting


    • Manage project timelines, support, and quality assurance processes to achieve objectives and reporting requirements.
    • Collaboratively design and assemble accreditation and regulatory submissions with faculty, program leaders, and university constituents.
    • Review regulatory standards and provide recommendations to Senior Leadership to fulfill requirements in identified areas of opportunity.
    • Communicate project status accurately to Senior Leadership to forecast timeline with needs assessments.


  • Promotes regulatory visit/presentation/meeting readiness with location and institution constituents


    • Execute mock visits to ensure visit readiness.
    • Maintain repository of preparations needed for on-site visits to meet regulatory entities' expectations.
    • Prepare leaders for regulatory presentation/visits/meetings to positively reflect the University.
    • Execute standard visit expectations for all locations to ensure consistent experience for all regulatory visitors.
    • Represent academic compliance team at visits/presentation/meetings to provide constituent and visitor support.
    • Provide support to site visitors in reservations, travel accommodations, and food provisions in accordance with regulatory standards.



Positions the University for strategic growth




    • Conduct programmatic and location research on regulatory requirements for new market entry as assigned.
    • Attend new program or program discontinuation calls to participate in strategic priorities.
    • Represent the university professionally, and within scope of regulatory guidelines, with external regulatory entities.
    • Collaborate with University leaders to research programmatic accreditation in support of new program launches.
    • Advise on process and timeline for new program and new market approvals.
    • Collaborate with individuals tasked with clinical development for purposes of new program and new market approvals.
    • All other duties as assigned.
