Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the lead designer for a particular design discipline in the medium to high complexity design projects. Each day, you will facilitate the completion of projects' technical design assignments across engineering disciplines, both in-house and outsourced, in an efficient and cost-effective manner and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.
The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division in Houston, TX.
Relocation assistance eligible for this role with candidates that currently reside in the US.

You will be mainly accountable for:
*Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
*Preparing RFQs to meet contractual requirements and provides technical evaluation of suppliers' proposals.
*Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects, in consultation with respective project managers.
*Determining the usage of relevant tools (e.g., 2D, 3D) and processes and uses internal/ external networks to keep track of new developments to promote innovation and productivity.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Analyzer, Chemical or Instrumentation Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years' experience as an Project Manager, Operations Manager role with Process Analytical products or projects.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools for Refining, Chemical or Petrochemical industries and knowledge of electrical equipment in hazardous areas is essential.
  • Strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
