Acentra is looking for an EAP Consultant, Senior (Remote U.S.) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

Provides management consultation services to our customer base, as well as clinical consultation and case coordination to EAP Consultants and EAP Affiliates. Provides clinical support to the EAP Consultants by assisting with clinical assessments of members seeking services. Participates in case consultation and completes clinical reviews with EAP Affiliates at the point of assessment.

The clinician will assist supervisors and managers in creating and implementing effective solutions to build leadership skills and resilience, increase emotional intelligence, enhance communication skills, and improve team performance. This process involves the application of general counseling principles and leadership models, particularly in relation to effective supervisory practices, managing personal and interpersonal issues, and the development of techniques. Participates in case consultation, completing clinical reviews with EAP Affiliates at the point of assessment, on-site counselor case collaboration, and developing and delivering training via web environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify effective and ineffective supervisory practices.
  • Demonstrate expert coaching tools and guidance to help supervisors gain insight about themselves, their team, and the organization to grow and thrive.
  • Partnership between a manager and a professional coach that provides a thought-provoking, creative process to help the manager maximize their professional potential.
  • Increase overall well-being, build resilience, and overcome any barriers.
  • Focus on setting goals, creating outcomes, and managing personal change from a coaching perspective.
  • Act as an expert in human behavior to assist clients in engaging, motivating, and leading their teams.
  • Perform management consultation services to all levels of management within our extensive customer base.
  • Assess a wide array of workplace issues and develop appropriate action plans. The consultant must know key workplace legislation, such as the ADA, DOT, sexual harassment, and Duty to Warn.
  • Perform routine and urgent clinical risk assessments, expert consultation, short-term problem resolution, referral, and follow-up for all members seeking services.
  • Complete case reviews with On-site Clinicians and EAP Affiliates to ensure clinical care coordination and address issues related to client care.
  • Consult with the Clinical Director as needed regarding high-risk cases.
  • Provide case consultation to EAP Consultants, On-site Clinicians, and EAP Affiliates.
  • Conduct a clinical review of all urgent/emergent cases within 24 hours.
Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in the mental health field and EAP.
  • Must possess a clinical license at the independent level.
  • Demonstrate expert coaching tools and guidance to help supervisors gain insight about themselves, their team, and the organization to grow and thrive.
  • Partnership between a manager and a professional coach that provides a thought-provoking, creative process to help the manager maximize their professional potential.
  • Possess a clear understanding of the difference between coaching and counseling and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Knowledge and understanding of organizational/corporate structure and culture.
  • Possess an understanding of leadership responsibilities and leadership styles.
  • Possess an understanding of Positive Psychology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity within the corporate environment/world.
  • Ability to display compassion and empathy.
  • Possess good listening skills.
  • Knowledge of the dual role of two clients, the company and the client member.
  • Thorough understanding of confidentiality rules and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively among different levels of staff, management, personnel, providers, and customers.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (and voiceovers on PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) credential or willingness to obtain it within one year.
  • Increase overall well-being, build resilience, and overcome any barriers.
  • Focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes, and managing personal change from a coaching perspective.
  • Acts as an expert in human behavior to assist clients in engaging, motivating, and leading their teams.
  • Some knowledge of tools/websites/TED talks, etc.. to refer participants as appropriate.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $60,840 to 84,500 annually.

"Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant's position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level."
