Intern - Industrial Engineering - Summer 2024

We are accepting resumes for an Industrial Engineer internship at our Southern Pines, NC facility. The facility is a former factory that now functions as a returns center, a repair/refurbishment center, a parts distribution center and a customer contact center. We aim to hire rising seniors to work full time during the summer. This summer internship will have the possibility to continue into the school year part-time, if mutually agreeable. We are looking for candidates who have completed three years of an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree program, preferably with a major in Industrial Engineering; however, we may consider other engineering majors who have relevant coursework and/or work experience.

Our Industrial Engineer intern will work with, and be mentored by, local management. Responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to the following activities:

* Perform time-motion studies

* Optimize production line and work cell balance for product refurbishment

* Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures

* Provide support in quality control, quality assurance inspection and testing efforts

* Prepare/automate reports and dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerBI

* Data analysis

* Written and oral presentations to corporate management
