Position Summary:

Exciting sales management opportunity to lead the small business team for the Austin, TX market. A successful candidate will be highly motivated by individual performance and team achievement by incorporating their in-depth business sales experience to exceed targets in this dynamic and untapped market.

The Small Business Sales Manager will contribute to Astound Broadband's success by creating and executing Small Business Sales and responsible for the overall management of the department's sales activities. The Sales Manager will work with the Director of Sales to develop and implement strategies for new customer acquisition. The Sales Manager will be responsible for sourcing, training and managing business sales representatives as well as meeting individual sales performance in the regional marketplace, utilizing sales tactics to drive revenue, customer acquisition and retention.

The Sales Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales to ensure sales tactics are executed to drive Astound's business and are implemented effectively within company guidelines.

Responsibilities include:



  • Develop positive relationships within the region's communities and develop key territory strategies towards acquiring new business
  • Meet individual performance & team quota requirements
  • Successfully recruit, hire, train and manage small business sales representatives to exceed small business sales quotas
  • Motivate small business teams to successfully implement business plan
  • Manage and track day-to -day sales activity
  • Train and work with the sales team in the field on a daily basis to build competencies and develop the team
  • Excellent oral, written and motivational skills
  • Proficiency in accurate sales and revenue forecasting along with understanding of the sales funnel and successfully managing sales reps to daily, weekly, monthly goals and activities
  • Ensure all required paperwork is legible, complete and submitted in a timely manner
  • Seek opportunities with customers to enhance the company's image; Customer focused, and ensures team represents company image and products in a professional manner. Shows respect to internal/external customers
  • Proficiency in interacting with customers in a polite, professional manner; Maintain a thorough understanding of, and is able to effectively communicate, systems' prices, channels, services and packages to sales employees, customers and potential customers
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly proficient using MS Office and Google Suite products
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand the cable industry, regional communities, and customers
  • Building relationships with local chambers, attending trade fairs to build brand awareness and new opportunities for Astound Broadband
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must have ability to frequently use repetitive motions of the wrist, hands and/or fingers
  • Must be able to work in a standard office environment; no hazardous or disagreeable work conditions



Qualifications:

Education:




  • College degree and/or 5+ years of relative experience required




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Demonstrated track record of leading sales teams and exceeding sales quotas in previous positions
  • Business Sales experience desired
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company
  • Knowledge of the cable or CLEC industry, regional communities, customers and staff
  • Highly productive and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to maximize customer acquisition and retention
  • Ability to create a prospecting culture within the sales team
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with cross functional partners, customers and senior leaders
  • Ability to facilitate a harmonious team environment
  • Ability to problem solve and handle escalations timely
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule, some nights and weekends required
  • Possess established relationships with networking groups, including local Chambers of Commerce

Base Salary: The base salary range in Texas for this position is $100,000-$110,000, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Texas and may not be applicable to other locations.

Commissions at plan: Targeted commissions at full attainment are fifty-two thousand dollars annually. Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
