The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnatiis seeking a collaborative proven professional to join our graduate program team in serving as a Program Coordinator (Clinical Site Coordinator). The chosen candidate will serve as the primary liaison with clinical preceptors, clinical site administration, and students currently enrolled in our graduate nursing program. The Program Coordinator facilitates placement of graduate nursing students in clinical sites and the vetting of clinical site contracts (as warranted). Other responsibilities include establishing and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements and managing documentation associated with the precepted clinical experience. Active listening,detail orientation, proactive problem solving, and critical thinking are important skills necessary for the position of Program Coordinator. They should demonstrate good judgment when making decisions and assist with special projects as needed. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have an established comfort with learning about and using new technology platforms. The graduate program works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, preceptors and clinical sites to achieve set goals. The ideal candidate must be a valuable contributor to the team, be able to work independently, solve problems and pay attention to detail. This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work arrangement for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. Essential Functions
* Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement. Required Education
Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience. Additional Qualifications Considered
* Experience in higher education as it relates to student clinical placement. * Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Etc.). * Experience with using Smartsheet. * Ability to use multiple databases as it relates to documentation and collaboration agreements. * Detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain highly organized work environment, and able to effectively prioritize. * Demonstrated capabilities in making solid business decisions, problem-solving, and multi-tasking in a highly dynamic and fast paced business environment. * Proven ability to exercise high degree of confidentiality and objectivity. * Proven ability to set priorities and work in students and other stakeholders at all levels in the organization in a professional, approachable, and positive manner. * Record of creative and innovative problem-solving ability. * Demonstrated commitment to excellence and the ability to communicate with faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders at all levels in the organization in a professional, approachable, and positive manner. * Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal. * One year of clinical coordination experience is ideal. * Assist with special projects as needed.
