About This Role

This position is vital in managing and optimizing endpoint management and patch management services to ensure the efficiency and security of PC and Mac systems within the College of Agriculture. It will play a key role in maintaining system performance, enhancing user satisfaction, and ensuring high compliance with the latest software updates. This position will report to the IT Director but will also work closely with Central IT teams and IT personnel within the college to streamline processes, implement new technologies, and maintain a robust IT infrastructure that supports both college and university's operational needs. Provide Tier II and III support and service restoration for daily operations and projects in a complex, distributed computing environment.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Relevant experience can substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Proven IT support experience, particularly with endpoint and patch management for both PC and Mac systems.
  • Experience in managing IT tools, including endpoint management systems, patch deployment tools, and IT operations best practices.
  • Practical experience in deploying IT management solutions to enhance system performance.
  • Strong teamwork and vendor interaction skills, including an understanding of contractual and operational aspects of IT service providers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Operational & Strategic Support: Experience in improving operational efficiency and participating in IT enhancement projects.
  • Ability to assist in strategic IT operations and provide recommendations to optimize system management.
  • Understanding budget considerations related to IT projects and maintenance, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.
  • Strong analytical abilities to address and resolve IT issues effectively.
