Job Description: Reporting to the Technical Services Manager the Field Service Engineer will provide support to customers for installations, repairs, and training. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented, highly motivated, and enjoy traveling. Exceeding customer expectations is the primary responsibility of all personnel within the Technical Services department. Primary Duties
- Install, repair and train customers on AMI orbital welding equipment and accessories including power supplies, weld heads, water coolers, remote pendants, and digital viewers.
- Test faulty equipment, apply knowledge of functional operation of electromechanical devices to trouble shoot and diagnose the cause of malfunctions to repair problems.
- Write technical reports and provide feedback describing malfunctions and deviations from design specifications.
- Perform preventative/corrective maintenance and calibrations on customer's machines.
- Communicate and troubleshoot with customers, programmers, engineers, technicians, quality, and production personnel to resolve problems. Includes communications with customer's operators and maintenance personnel.
- Excellent time management to make travel arrangements to accommodate customer's needs.
- Dedication to safety to avoid or mitigate industrial hazards.
- Other duties as assigned or may be required to support business objectives.
- Associate's degree required in electronic engineering technology or electrical engineering. Prior experience with AMI equipment a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze and interpret service procedures, technical manuals, electrical schematics, part drawings, and work instructions.
- Excellent written and oral communications, effective use of Microsoft office tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.

- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, take initiative and adapt to change.
- Ability to manage complex projects and tasks to successful completion.
Working Conditions
- Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.
- Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
- May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
- Domestic and international travel required to support engineering/sales activities up to 50%.
