Description

The luxurious Hotel Amarano Burbank is looking for an overnight Valet Attendant to join its team. In this position, you will be assisting guests with luggage, parking and retrieving vehicles, and assisting guests with questions about the hotel and local area. This position is full time and requires overnight and weekend availability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Greet guests in a pleasant manner and inquire into their parking needs
  • Provides guest with information on valet parking fees or hold placards possessing this information
  • Provides guest with a receipt in exchange of handed-over keys
  • Driving guest vehicles to designated parking locations in a safe manner
  • Ascertaining that vehicles are properly parked in designated lots and locked before being left alone
  • Using hand signals, batons and lights to direct guest vehicles to available parking spots
  • Ascertaining that keys and remotes are returned as soon as the car is handed over
  • Assisting guest in jump starting vehicles that may have died and call for cabs or tow trucks when requested
  • Providing support in changing tires and replacing batteries of cars that have malfunctioned in the parking lot
  • Ascertaining the cleanliness and maintenance of parking lots to ensure both customer and vehicle safety
  • Positioning or removing barricades to prevent parking in spots reserved for senior citizens or the disabled
  • Perform other duties as assigned



REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Must have an excellent driving record as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Ability to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists
  • Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage with sufficient manual dexterity in both
  • hands to be able to load and unload luggage up to 75lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions
  • Able to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling and/or walking
