Extraction Operator

Ag Processing Inc is currently hiring for an extraction operator at our facility in Dawson, Minnesota. This person will be responsible for operating the Extraction process and assist where needed while maintaining safety and efficiency. Responsible for the light maintenance and routine repairs of equipment to process soy material. Willing to work the day shift, night shift and every other weekend on a rotating 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate production machinery, adjust controls and observe equipment operations.
• Collect samples of soybeans, meal and soybean hulls, flakes/crude oil (extraction) using standard operating procedures to test quality of product in the lab.
• Acquire samples for submission to the lab for analysis.
• Make process adjustments to maintain AGP quality on all product samples
• Maintain log of gauge readings and shift production.
• Clean production area and perform periodic routine maintenance.

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, PDA (Physical Demand Assessment) and drug screen.
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA and EPA, and PSM regulations as they pertain to solvent extraction plant operations.
• Skill in operating a forklift, pallet jack, bobcat, and material handling equipment.
• Skill in mathematical computation.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple work assignments.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to make decisions based upon information provided by knowledge, previous experience, technical manuals, and documents.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to facilitate and work within a team environment.
