Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Manager, Hospital Pharmacy Compliance - Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Services team! This is a hybrid role, doing site visits.
- Partner with System Director of Medication Safety and Regulatory and Pharmacy Leadership to develop compliance strategies and provide ongoing oversight and monitoring to minimize risk.
- Coordinate with System Director of Medication Safety and Regulatory, Pharmacy Leadership, Legal counsel, and Quality and Risk to identify, monitor, analyze, and communicate regulatory changes.
- Suggest and support implementation of appropriate pharmacy operations in response to regulatory changes related to pharmacy practice, hospital, ASC, FSED, or HOPD operations.
- Coordinate compliance roadmap development with direct reports.
- Research compliance issues and recommend changes to ensure compliance with contract obligations and regulatory standards.
- Track data and create reports to assist in the analysis of compliance patterns.
- Lead collaboration with system and hospital leadership and legal to draft and update hospital, ASC, FSED, or HOPD pharmacy policies and SOPs.
- Collaborate with system pharmacy education team to create and deliver education related to pharmacy practice, hospital, ASC, FSED or HOPD operations compliance.
- Oversee and document onsite audits and investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Assist with coordination of corrective action plans to support identified risk areas and suggest procedural changes where applicable.
- Provides leadership on committees including but not limited to Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Clinical Services Committees, Quality and Safety Committee, Medication Safety, Service Line meetings, and any affiliated workgroups as deemed necessary.
- Provides oversight, direction, and development for direct reports in line with Baptist Health's core values.
Minimum Requirements & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
- Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license required.
- Must obtain Indiana Board of Pharmacy license or willing and eligible within 1 year.
- 1-3 years related experience in pharmacy compliance or risk management.
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing compliance programs preferred.
- Experience with Joint commission, ACHC, or DNV accreditation standards preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other pharmacy related applications preferred.
