Position Summary

The Senior Administrative Manager serves as a key member of the Office of the Executive Vice President for Global Science and Technology responsible for the coordination of the key activities and functions of the office. Provide direction for the Office's strategic planning initiatives including managing schedules and travel, budget and financial planning, correspondence, presentations, and special projects. Serve as the Office's liaison to senior leadership, administrative/academic offices, heads of divisions, and external organizations on a variety of confidential and complex issues while ensuring responsiveness.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years progressively responsible experience in academic administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience managing office operations and staff, planning and implementing projects and activities, and collecting and analyzing data.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years experience within higher education or proven experience supporting a senior leader at an organization.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; strong research and writing skills, research; and ability to effectively communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population. Good judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidence are essential. Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with financial software (travel and expense platforms, etc.) and databases.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00 to USD $140,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
