Dragline Mechanic (6am-4pm)

The primary responsibilities of this position include preventative maintenance duties, inspection, diagnoses, and, under limited supervision, the performance of repair and maintenance of dragline equipment. Operates equipment for maintenance purposes. Performs routine repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of equipment components. Performs repair and maintenance as recommended by equipment service manuals and as directed by the Manager.

Safely uses hand tools, power tools, shop machines and hoists, welding equipment, etc. Performs simple cutting, fitting, and welding tasks as directed. Performs mechanic helper and shop attendant duties as required and a various other duties.

Three years of dragline repair or heavy excavating experience is preferred.
