Overview

This is an intern level position in the Supply Chain organization where the primary focus will be on contract administration. In general, this position will be oriented to, and gain a working knowledge of, each function within the Supply Chain department. Beyond the scope of the actual tasks performed, the student becomes familiar with a corporate environment and gains practical skills and knowledge to supplement their classroom experience. Joining PPL as an intern provides you with the opportunity to explore possible career opportunities along with:

  • Contributing to departmental goals.

This position will be part-time throughout the Fall/Spring semesters (approx. 20-25 hours per week) and full-time in the Summer. The intern's work schedule will be determined based on their school schedule.


Responsibilities

  • Assess supplier safety performance, risk, cost, and quality control.
  • Participate in the bidding, selection, negotiation, and contract administration processes with approved suppliers.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal business stakeholders.
  • Assist with drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Assist senior contract administrators with special projects as needed.
  • Utilize resources to locate and research diverse suppliers.
  • Advise internal customers on Oracle processing issues and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
