The role:

As part of the Direct Transport Sales team, you will have overall sales responsibility for Air Freight customer relationships and performance for Air Freight and associated Logistics services. This is a dynamic commercial position in a high performing team with excellent employment terms and benefits, and with ample growth opportunities. You will drive growth with Maersk's Air Freight product, and delivering value through adoption of Maersk Logistics & Services (L&S) products, to complement the Air Freight Solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned customers and budget base; pursues and secures new Air Freight business, in line with business objectives

  • Identifies customer needs and pain points, and provides value-based solutions

  • Builds a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base

  • Communicates significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned customers

  • Researches and understands the market to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers

  • Research and analyse global & local industry trends for Air Freight

  • Ensures the customer relationship management tool (Salesforce) is updated with all opportunities, and ensures a full sales opportunity funnel, with opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle

  • Works closely with local North America Air Freight Product organization to grow Air Freight and revenues

  • Works closely with the capacity and campaign manager to formalize commercial plans and ensure maximization of asset utilization

What you bring:
  • The ideal candidate must possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and be driven to win business. They must be self-starters willing to be resourceful on their own within the organization.

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' work experience in a sales capacity within the International Air Freight industry

  • Proficiency in persuasive selling

  • Ability to be both persuasive and influential

  • Results driven and capable of working under pressure while keeping sight of the strategy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry sales related tools

Your Success:

  • Year on Year volume and revenue performance

  • Opportunity/Win Conversion Ratio

  • Quarterly Volume targets for Air Freight and associated Logistics Services

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Remote (West Coast, US)

Salary: $100,000 to $140,000 plus sales incentive plan.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
