Position Title: Cost Accountant

Salary: Based on Experience

A Cost Accountant job in the southern Milwaukee area is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have 2+ years of accounting experience including experience with cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. In this position, you will maintain the plant's standard cost system, develop and implement procedures to minimize costs, and review production and inventory transactions. This position will also prepare financial reports, complete month-end close duties, assist with budget preparation, and conduct all other costing activities as needed.

Cost Accountant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Maintain standard cost system for the plant

- Develop and implement procedures to minimize costs.

- Review production and inventory transactions.

- Prepare financial reports.

- Assist in month, quarter, and year-end close process.

- Assist with budget preparation.

- Support internal and external audits.

Cost Accountant Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.

- 2+ years of Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

- Cost Accounting experience required.

- Experience with an ERP system.

- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.

- Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
