The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Primary Responsibilities - Youth Psychosocial Program Supervisor

1, Conduct clinical assessments for children who are referred for YPP only to determine clinical needs and develop treatment plans.

2. Provide other clinical services to YPP clients, including treatment planning, treatment review, and other direct services required to meet client needs. Ensure that individual and group goals are appropriate and up to date.

3. Provide intake assessments and treatment planning to select clients.

4. Provide limited psychotherapy (individual, family and group) for a small caseload of outpatient therapy clients if the time required by other duties permits, and provide on-going treatment planning for YPP clients not being

5. Develop curricula for psychosocial programs which are based on promising approaches or best practices. Consult with the Center's Chief Clinical Officer during program development and before implementation

6. Provide training for staff that will implement programs

7. Recruit, interview and hire YPP staff.

Qualifications for Youth Psychosocial Program Supervisor

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:



  • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.


EXPERIENCE:



  • Required: one year experience in program development and/or supervision of other staff. Preferred: Experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices, as well as case management, psychosocial group facilitation.
