JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for one open-rank, teaching faculty position in Enterprise Technology Integration (ETI) located in State College, Pennsylvania. This is a non-tenure-line, term appointment beginning in January or July of 2025, with an excellent possibility of renewal to multiyear contracts. The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses in residential, online, and/or hybrid modes, with a commitment to teaching learners at all levels and from all backgrounds. Qualified faculty may also teach graduate courses. Teaching emphases in the ETI program may include systems and enterprise integration; database design, development, and management; cloud-based technology solutions; programming for integration and API connectivity; and project management. University service is also expected of teaching faculty. Applicants must have a master's or terminal degree in a related field, including but not limited to Information Science, Informatics, MIS, Computer Science, and Engineering by the appointment start date with Penn State. Qualified candidates with professional industry or academic experience in enterprise technology integration will be appointed at higher academic ranks. Candidates will be considered for a teaching faculty rank commensurate with their education and experience in accordance with Penn State policy AC21.
