Overview

Esri's Imagery Development Team innovates and delivers cutting-edge Enterprise infrastructure software and software as service (SaaS) solutions for imagery data management, visualization, and analysis. We are seeking an individual with strong technical skills actively working with modern web applications, particularly focused on Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing/Imagery. In this role, you will work with the software developers to design, test, and certify existing and new software features included with ArcGIS Image Server for ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Image for ArcGIS Online. You will have the opportunity to be involved in full-stack development projects that exercise your knowledge of both back-end web services and front-end web user experience components.

Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, test and automate:

    • ArcGIS Enterprise image service quality and performance testing
    • Scalable imagery data management workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise for Windows/Linux and Kubernetes, and ArcGIS Online
    • Scalable imagery analysis workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise for Windows/Linux and Kubernetes, and ArcGIS Online


  • Analyze daily test results, troubleshoot, and address software issues found though internal testing or reported by users
  • Recommend and document best practices for Enterprise and Cloud deployment patterns
  • Become an expert in ArcGIS deployment patterns including Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure (includes technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes)


Requirements



  • 2+ years experience working with GIS, remote sensing, or photogrammetry software
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate understanding of image processing or raster processing
  • Development skills using JavaScript, Java, C#, or Python
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills and contribute to creating quality commercial software
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, remote sensing, or related field


Recommended Qualifications



  • Experience with system integration or test engineering
  • Familiarity with raster and imagery data formats
  • Experience with one or more cloud computing infrastructures, such as Amazon, Microsoft, or, Google
  • Experience with containerization and service orchestration platforms such as docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with the design and implementation of scalable distributed data analysis workflows
  • Experience with one or more photogrammetry and imagery processing software packages such as Pix4D, Agisoft PhotoScan, DroneDeploy, or other
  • Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online

$74,984 $128,544 USD
