Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the selection of the Facility Management model to incorporate market best practices. Each day, you will manage or coordinate operating expenses, including repair and maintenance services, cleaning services, security services, utility expenses, energy costs, and common areas maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by supervising and managing the building soft and hard service operations. The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Mebane, NC. You will be mainly accountable for: *Leading the planning and implementation of maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules to ensure the facility team operates in a safe and efficient manner, prolonging equipment lifespan, mitigating the risk of failures, and fulfilling statutory obligations. *Ensuring all fire safety equipment and systems undergo proper maintenance, inspection, and testing and overseeing accurate record-keeping of these activities. *Maintaining records of compliance certificates. *Assessing buildings and recommending actions for improvement in line with ABB's Green Real Estate approach. Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of directly related experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA Guidelines.
- Background/experience with building permits and inspection with local authorities.
- Experience with AutoCad drawings.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
