Why Intern at Health Care Service Corporation?

The Underwriting Intern position is responsible for learning various underwriting principles and procedures including how to evaluate risk for renewals and new business for employer sponsored healthcare, assisting in financial analysis around benefit designs for customers, reporting, collaborating with Sales & Account Management teams on pricing negotiations, and assisting with completion of financial settlements.

What Do You Need To BeSuccessful?

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical skills
• Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel and Word
• Basic math competencies
• Work management skills including ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree within a business-related field
• Graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026
• A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States(currently, we are not offering this program under OPT or CPT and are not sponsoring work visas for this role)
