As the Director, Integrity & Compliance - Business Conduct you will be responsible for leading business conduct initiatives to foster a strong ethical culture within Alcon by actively promoting a speak up culture, managing the company's ethics helpline, and driving initiatives that ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in Fort Worth, Texas! In this role, a typical day will include:

Strategic Leadership and Planning:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to Business Conduct stakeholder in alignment with the company's vision and goals.

  • Consistently assess Alcon's Speak Up program in relation to industry standards to pinpoint any areas that need improvement and keep up with emerging trends.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Business Conduct team and cross-functional partners.

Promote Speak-Up Culture:

  • Lead efforts to embed a culture of openness, trust, and accountability throughout the organization, encouraging employees to voice concerns about ethical issues or violations without fear of retaliation.

  • Create and conduct Helpline and speak-up awareness presentations to increase awareness and transparency related to program actions.

Ethics Helpline Management:

  • Supervise the global ethics helpline so that it operates efficiently, confidently, and in alignment with local and international legal requirements.

  • Lead and improve existing processes for receiving, investigating, and resolving complaints or concerns related to business conduct.

  • Analyze trends and insights from helpline data to proactively address potential ethical risks.

Investigations and Reporting:
  • Be responsible for internal investigations of reported misconduct driving a fair, consistent, fact-based and timely resolution.

  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Global Security, and other key departments in investigating and remediating ethical issues.

  • Ensure accurate documentation oof reports, investigations, and outcomes for both internal and external audit requirements.

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build positive relationships across departments to drive alignment on business conduct objectives and foster collaboration on ethics-related initiatives.

  • Serve as a key liaison to external auditors, investigators and other relevant third parties.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency of the ethics program.

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on helpline performance and insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of Alcon's ethics and compliance programs.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and sense of curiosity to use and interpret data and business conduct observations to identify trends and drive actionable insights that improve our employee's experience.

  • Expertise in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Approach passionate about using technology to improve decision making and drive efficiencies through innovative solutions and data analytics.

  • High level of emotional intelligence, integrity, and passion for promoting ethical business conduct.

What you'll bring to Alcon:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs).

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience.

  • 6 Years of Proven Leadership.
