As a customer-facing sales expert, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and advancing profitable business through strategic selling and commercial leadership.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing Pipeline sales strategies in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Delivering profitable business opportunities through value based selling initiatives.
  • Managing and motivating a team of experienced technical sales advisors across Canada, Latin America, and the United States.
  • Negotiating and closing large scale commercial opportunities across multiple business sectors.
  • Understanding and articulating value propositions for discrete services and combined solutions.
  • Conducting technical presentations within large groups, while understanding market drivers.
  • Developing deep client relationships with individual accounts and in sales region.
  • Working with existing customers with the intent of enhancement of business relationships and experiences.
  • Generating and reviewing technical proposals in compliance with client requirements and company abilities.
  • Supervising and guiding the selling activities of others.
  • Reviewing specific selling tactics, strategies, and goals to ensure they align with overarching company strategies.
  • Providing day to day consultation and training as it may be required to other sales personnel with the intent of technical knowledge and general salesmanship improvement.
  • Encouraging and coaching team approaches to appropriate opportunities to nurture higher probabilities for successful outcomes.
  • Developing, maintaining, and delivering on quarterly, annual, and multi-year forecasts.
  • Participating in both internal and external customer activities as required.
  • Traveling to locations in a timely fashion to achieve targeted success.
  • Being available to support selling activities of others as deemed necessary
  • Maintaining firm commitment to our Code of Conduct

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 7 + years direct sales management experience with preferred technical/functional knowledge in the following areas:
    • In line inspection technologies applied to pipeline assets
    • Pipeline Integrity Management Services
    • Pipeline Integrity and Reliability Solutions
  • Have good knowledge of pipeline operations.
  • Have working general knowledge of the Petroleum industry.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills with proven results closing profitable business.
  • Possess strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate professional commercial management skills at multiple levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrate sales experience with cross-functional and large-scale sales opportunities.
  • Be familiar with inspection techniques for pipeline assets and procedures and project management.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide service packages, offering a full solution.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the balance between deadlines and accuracy of work.
  • Have strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate multi-tasking skills and the willingness to learn and train.
  • Demonstrate dependability and consistent efforts.
  • Possess a flexible and adaptive approach to working and time management.
  • Have the ability to take and provide direction in collaborative processes.
  • Be self-driven, highly motivated, conducting with diplomacy and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Be willing to travel internationally and without restriction for extended periods as may be required to generate defined outcomes (Estimated at 50% or more of available working time)
  • Possess the ability to close a negotiation leading to an order and handle the pressure of making presentations and delivering information to highly trained personnel.
  • Demonstrate utmost confidentiality of proprietary technologies.
