Primary Purpose of Job Manages the daily operations of the Investment Services department, particularly through the Help Desk. Works in coordination with the operations team. Will manage and monitor centralized associate advisors to facilitate smaller transactions and basic servicing to the bank's investment customers. Major Job Accountabilities Operations Accountabilities
- Manages and oversees the daily operational activities of the department.
- Coordinates all pending case management, tracks system input and case workflows.
- Supervises the Investment Services operations team and provides training, coaching, counseling.
- Resolves escalated operational issues.
- Ensures that all business is processed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with the best practices and policies and procedures established by the existing broker dealer.
- Actively supports the Sales Assistants out in the field by offering proactive hands on feedback, coaching and growing Sales Assistants, and building strong relationships with the Investment Services team.
- Manages the Operations Coordinators on the Help Desk and assists in customer inquiries and complaints there. Mentors, coaches, and disciplines sales assistants in partnership with their respective advisors.
- Partners with advisors on working with their assistants, efficiencies, and standards.
- Participates in hiring, performance review, and termination process of all sales assistants and operations coordinators.
Sales Accountabilities
- Supervise the centralized associate financial advisor team in their daily sales activity including:
- Coaching and mentoring associate financial advisors on the sales process for internal referrals and customers segmented from branch-based advisors' books of business in helping internal advisor team develop relationships and execute transactions.
- Being proficient in product knowledge, value propositions, prospecting, cross-selling, and sales messaging. Ensure personal and team attainment of annual production goals.
- Supervising staff according to company policies and applicable laws.
- Recruiting staff including interviewing and hiring.
- Plan, assign, and direct work; communicating vision.
- Performance management of campus-based associate advisors - goal setting, coaching.
- Attend and participate in meetings and workshops as necessary.
- Assist in implementing marketing and business plans to support sales strategies.
- Work with Salesforce and client segmentation to further develop CRM and lead management systems.
- Work with sales team and operations team on process and sales issues.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an operations and accounting position within the financial services industry, preferably involving investments, insurance or banking
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience with financial products, preferably managing a group of centralized junior advisors
Required Skills Or Training
- Demonstrated experience in training, motivating and coaching
- Experience in process and SLA development and investment product processing applications preferred
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Works under pressure with multiple deadlines, using judgment or discretion within own scope of authority.
- Works with minimum supervision, follows instructions, and works cooperatively with others as part of a larger team.
- Must be able to strictly adhere to policies and procedures in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to effectively analyze situations, applying solutions to achieve resolution.
- Ability to identify and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of LPL platform, products, services, and business objectives
Professional Certifications, Licenses and/or Registration Requirements
- Current Hawaii Life and Health licenses and SIE, 7, and 66 securities (or Series 99 in lieu of 7 & 66) registrations
