Position Title: Welder/Mechanic
Wage: $47,840-$54,080 per year Shift: 1st QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for a Welder/Mechanic at a company in Lincoln, NE. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position. Welder/Mechanic Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Weld, in any aspect, with various welding equipment provided in the fleet garage, including using an oxy-acetylene outfit for cutting purposes. - Design, fabricate, and repair a variety of metal work. - Perform minor repair and maintenance on fleet vehicles. - Performs all work in accordance with schedules, policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety. - Other duties as assigned. Welder/Mechanic Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED; and - 2 years of experience in welding with working knowledge of the use and care of arc welding equipment, acetylene torches, grinders, and other tools of the welding trade; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. - Valid Driver's License. - Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds. - Must be able to operate with minimal supervision. - Must be flexible regarding work schedule.
