UCB is seeking to hire an exceptional DT Lead in Transversal Delivery as part of our Digital Technology for Patient Solutions (DTPS) team out of our Boston R&D hub. The primary objective of the role is to lead the delivery of (complex) technology initiatives aligned with the Patient Solutions (PS) strategic priorities, acting as a role model for efficient delivery and cross-team collaboration. This person will apply their extensive understanding of technology in life sciences research and Digital Technology strategy & architecture to ensure that the selected solutions are fully aligned with the application, data and broader technology strategy. She/He will also lead highly streamlined, multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver end-to-end data and technology solutions.
Note: This position will be a hybrid role (not remote) ideally based out of our Boston R&D Hub in Cambridge, MA. Our Raleigh, NC location could be an option as well.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Drive complex projects/programs from the early stages of strategic planning, project set-up and partnering, over execution and project closure.
- Manage projects/programs in terms of scope, schedule, cost and stakeholders to successfully deliver complex technology initiatives. Apply the appropriate project management methodologies, including agile and waterfall (incl. GxP requirements, where applicable).
- Closely monitor and communicate on project status, including potential interdependencies, risks, issues and mitigations.
- You will strategically identify opportunities that add value, based on a solid understanding of technology in the life sciences research context, insight in DT architecture and DT delivery models.
- You must also collaborate effectively across DT teams to strengthen, streamline and future-proof the Patient Solutions data, code and compute infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant field is required
Business Knowledge and Technical Expertise
- Work experience in IT project and program management of advanced technology, including end responsibility for all aspects of delivery and the IT compliance context.
- Deep understanding of IT system lifecycle management (implementation & routine run).
- Solid working knowledge of current and emerging technology architectures.
- Understanding of lab systems, scientific experiment data acquisition, data integration, data analysis, as well as the emerging "in-silico science" area.
- Experience using analysis and analytics scientific software such as modeling & simulation software, statistical software and data analysis applications.
Management and Leadership skills
- Highly skilled in stakeholder engagement, e.g. driving conversations ensuring value identification in an opportunity-rich working environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highly dynamic environment is crucial.
- Experience working in a multi-facetted, highly collaborative environment is essential, as well as the ability to foster effective conversations on diverse viewpoints.
Salary Range: $166,800 to $218,925 (Cambridge, MA)
$141,760 to $186,060 (Raleigh, NC)
