We are seeking a logical and results-focused Maintenance Superintendent to join the Hensley Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and direct the supervision of the employees and activities of the Maintenance Department to ensure prompt and accurate response to equipment and facility maintenance needs while always maintaining open communication with other departments for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with management personnel to establish production, quality control standards, develop budgets and cost controls.
  • Monitor equipment downtime through reviewing processes, equipment, and training needs.
  • Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity associated with equipment functionality and down time.
  • Support, administer and ensure compliance with all company policies including those that are stated in Human Resources Policy Manual, Safety Policy Handbook, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual, Standard Operating Procedure, etc.
  • Plan for and suggest ideas for the optimum utilization of equipment, personnel, and supplies to achieve departmental objectives in the most cost-effective manner possible. Actively participate in Kaizen activities.
  • Interview applicants in accordance with applicable laws. Train new employees.
  • Promote harmony in the workforce through good and open communication; fair, consistent, and respectful treatment, while maintaining discipline within the department. Disciplinary action shall be administered in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Responsible for timely input of information into Kronos to assist Payroll in the preparation of weekly payroll.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all hourly employees, complete the review form and make recommendations for rate increases. Recommend wage adjustments, promotions, demotions, terminations, layoff, etc.
  • Recommend and take corrective action in compliance with quality audits.
  • Promote safety through active participation and support of company safety policies and programs and initiating corrective action for recognized unsafe conditions or hazards. Report any incident, regardless of severity, including fire, equipment damage, facility damage, or employee injury to the Safety Department and Sr. Management.
  • Ensure compliance to all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance routines to ensure optimum equipment performance and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Order necessary supplies for the department.
  • Must know and comply with the Komatsu Worldwide Code of Business Conduct, KAC code of Conduct, Hensley Environment Policies, Hensley Safety Policies, and Hensley Quality Policies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or five to eight years related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer literate. Microsoft office proficiency required
  • Knowledge of foundry processes, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement activities.
