The Department of Educational Policy Studies in the College of Arts, Sciences & Education (CASE) at Florida International University invites applications for the position of Open Rank (Assistant or Associate) Professor beginning Fall 2025. This is a 9-month tenure-track position. We invite applications from established to early-career scholars, who possess an active research agenda concerned with K-12 Leadership in urban settings. We seek a collaborative and innovative colleague to join our community and complement our existing areas of faculty expertise, who is also prepared to support the CASE in working with "communities to address the challenges and needs we face as a society." Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or related field with an active research agenda and publication record in urban educational leadership and/or administration. Demonstrated experience in grant and external funding activity. Demonstrated evidence of collaborating with public K-12 school districts. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with programmatic leadership. Possess a non-traditional educational and/or experiential pathway to urban K-12 leadership. Responsibilities: Teach graduate level courses in educational leadership, supervise master's and doctoral students, serve on and chair dissertation and theses committees, guide program development, participate in the procurement of external grants, and maintain a scholarship agenda commensurate with a tenure-track line at an R1 institution. The Program offers the MS, EdS and EdD in Educational Leadership. All degrees place special emphasis on graduating students equipped for cross-cultural relationship building, particularly in urban settings.
