Under general supervision from the Assistant Director of Leadership & Engagement the Program Manager-AACRC will plan, implement, and assist with a variety of programs that enhance the growth and development of students, specifically addressing the academic, social, leadership and cultural needs of the Black student population. The Program Manager will provide support, coordination, and leadership of the Transitions Program (first-year experience mentoring program) and course, BASE Steering Committee Mentors, Living-Learning Community, and community service and mental health initiatives. Essential Functions
* Manage, design, develop, modify, present and assist with programs and events. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations. * Implement policies and procedures. * Provides support, coordination, leadership, and teaching to the Transitions program curriculum (first-year experience mentoring program), AACRC leadership teams, Living-Learning Community, and social justice and mental health initiatives. * Maintains budget, prepare contracts, approves and monitors expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports. * Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations. * May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials. * Hires/Supervises graduate assistant(s) and provides performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc. * Perform related duties based on departmental need. * Master's * Experience providing community education and workshops, including but not limited to implicit bias training. * Knowledge of student development theories and intersectionality theories. Degree. * Experience teaching a first-year experience course. * Experience working with students of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. * Experience coordinating student learning activities and programs. * Experience advising and providing resources to students and/or student programs. * Experience providing community education and workshops, including but not limited to implicit bias training. * Knowledge of student development theories and intersectionality theories.
