Job Overview
Provide effective, accurate, and impartial American Sign Language (ASL)/English interpreting services to individuals with disabilities, primarily serving as a designated interpreter for an identified UC staff member, the Assistant Dean of Inclusive Excellence in the College for Cooperative Education and Professional Services (CCPS). Manage support for the delivery of ASL services, CART, and related technology tools to the Assistant Dean in a variety of university settings, including but not limited to individual meetings, educational lectures, large scale campus events/conferences and departmental meetings. Essential Functions
Required Education
Associate's Degree in ASL/English Interpreter Education/Training, Linguistics, Education, Communication, or related field. Nine (9) years of professional ASL/English interpreting experience in lieu of education requirement". Required Experience
Seven years of related professional experience providing ASL/English interpreting in a wide range of settings, specifically including post-secondary education. Additional Qualifications Considered
