What this job involves -

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyperson to join our team and provide reliable maintenance and repair services for our account. The Handyperson will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks, including light carpentry, painting, carpet and ceiling tile repairs and replacements, cove base repair and replacement, hanging signs, repair and re-key locks, minor drywall repairs, and general facility maintenance.

The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to ensure that our sites are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Your day to day:
Core functions include:

* Complete light carpentry work, such as building shelves, repairing doors, and installing new hardware.
* Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed.
* Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery.
* Inspect and maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the areas and work under your responsibility
* Assist with setting up and dismantling furniture and equipment for meetings or events.
* Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency and communicate all issues back to the customer
* Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment and ensure they are in good working condition.
* Follow all OSHA and account safety guidelines and protocols when handling tools, chemicals, and equipment.
* Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete larger projects or repairs as well as other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

* Proven experience as a Handyperson or similar role, preferably in a commercial or business setting.
* Strong knowledge and experience in multiple areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance.
* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
* Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
