The Information Services Department is currently seeking a Senior Audio Visual Engineer to join our technology team to lead the development and support of enterprise collaboration and conferencing technologies across all global office locations. The position reports to the Technology Support Manager and works closely with the firm's Conference Services, Technology Operations and global IS support teams. This hybrid position is 4 days per week minimum on-site and based in the firm's New York offices in Hudson Yards.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Full ownership including design, implementation and support of AV/VC systems in all conference rooms and meeting spaces.
  • Proactively provide technical support to all AV/VC services across the enterprise. This support extends to local, virtual/cloud and large conferencing events.
  • Working with the appropriate vendors and internal teams, review existing and new initiatives to architect, design, plan, install, upgrade/decommission all conference rooms to meet the business and function needs across the enterprise. Assist with cost engineering and budgetary planning.
  • Manage, coordinate and support site installation/upgrades/normalization and decommissions of all AV and VC equipment. This includes coordinating physical access, network connectivity, power, general contractor work and other dependencies, as necessary.
  • Work with the AV vendors to ensure all devices are installed, configured, and tested appropriately.
  • Produce formal standardization documents for all room types which should include approved room design, equipment list and connectivity for each room type.
  • Audit/maintain an inventory of all conference room data, hardware, and license management.
  • Ensure all applicable devices and services are monitored and alerts acknowledged/addressed within set SLA's.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance visits to review existing hardware software solutions to ensure all rooms are patched, serviced and consumables replaced to remain in service at all times.
  • Frequently review all AV/VC hardware and service contracts globally to ensure appropriate support coverage across all sites.
  • Ensures all team, departmental and firm policies and procedures are adhered to, including technical change management and service continuity.
  • Collaborate with conference services, technology operations and global support teams to provide direction/support, streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the overall user experience
  • Provide escalated support for large internal and client events. Provide after hours and/or weekend or holiday support (unscheduled support), as business needs arise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Other duties as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years of experience supporting large corporate AV/VC environment
  • In-depth understanding of conference room technology and standard use cases including Crestron, Biamp, Zoom and Teams.
  • Familiarity with operation, design and installation principles of commercial audio-visual and video conferencing systems with control processors, room schedulers, microphones, matrix switchers, VC cameras & codec, audio DSPs and digital signage
  • Ability to articulate technical details in an easily understood manner
  • Experience in architecting solutions to meet global business needs in the collaboration and communications space
  • Extensive experience in conference room upgrades and new installations.
  • Competency with system schematics, cable pull schedules and high level/Low level architectural drawings.
  • Experience in configuration and support of large audio and video townhalls and webinars.
  • Expert knowledge in remote monitoring, alerting and automation technologies and workflows
  • Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours (9:30am-5:30pm EST) as required
  • Flexibility to travel to global offices as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is desirable
