IFF in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineering Co-op to join our R&D team! It's an exciting time to be part of the Nourish family at IFF. The Manufacturing Technology Engineering Co-op will apply classroom skills to solve engineering problems in areas of product development and process improvement. Whether you love the challenge of process development, productivity improvements, or quality focus, there is a variety of opportunities to keep you engaged and challenged.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supporting Manufacturing Technology Engineering and Process R&D projects including new product development and process improvement in the areas of rate, quality, and yield

Leading monthly baseline trials in pilot plant

Leading and executing project experiments in application labs and pilot plant

Preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly quality reports and presenting to engineering and site management

Statistical analysis to determine process capability

Other projects may include exposure to analytical lab, applications, and sensory teams, or supporting capital projects.

The following are required:

A college sophomore, junior, or senior working towards a BS degree at an ABET accredited program with curriculum focus in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Process Engineering work

Available to complete 7-month assignment (January - August 2025)

Technical knowledge

Mathematics (extensive)
Statistics (Basic Level)
Laboratory equipment operation and safety (Basic level)
MS Office Software

Must have a valid working permit to work in the USA

Demonstrated ability to collect, process, and analyze data
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong time management and organizational skills

Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Willing and able to sit or stand for extended periods, including climbing stairs
