Fairfax Hospital Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Safety Coach to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift 3-days 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm.

Behavioral Health Safety Coach Job Responsibilities:



  • Facilitates the safety event debrief and participates in safety meetings and workplace violence committee meetings.
  • Disseminates actionable safety data for various internal audiences that quickly and effectively direct further improvement efforts and patient care. Responds to special requests as appropriate.
  • Meets with charge nurse and organizational leaders as needed for reporting needs.
  • Educates, trains, and mentors others on aspects of the incident safety reporting system.
  • Upon CPI certification, assists unit leadership with overseeing safety education for unit Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technician.
  • Disseminates and delivers safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
  • Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
  • Assumes responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.

Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: 3-days 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant clinical work experience
  • Certification: Basic Life Support Upon Start from the American Heart Association- Upon Start. Crisis Prevention Institute Within 3 Months.
