Your Role on the Team The Chao Digestive Health Institute at UCI Health seeks to deliver the highest quality and most advanced comprehensive digestive health care to Orange County and beyond. Our dedicated team includes nationally recognized gastroenterologists, hepatologists, oncologists and surgeons, who are committed to providing a comprehensive and multidisciplinary patient focused approach to prevent, diagnose, and treat digestive disorders and cancer. We are recruiting a fulltime board-certified Colon & Rectal Surgeon with a commitment to providing quality clinical care and expertise in minimally invasive surgical approaches. This individual should have at least 3 years' experience in treating any number of diseases including colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, benign and complex anorectal disease. Primary responsibilities of this position include expanding and innovating inpatient and outpatient clinical care at UCI Health community clinical sites, with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians, specialty care surgeons and providers throughout the UCI Health system. This position may require ED call coverage shared with other general/specialty surgeons. This opportunity will be an extension of the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at UCI, working with 6 colorectal surgeons and other multi-disciplinary specialty services. UCI is a Nationally Accredited Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) and has an international reputation of excellence in minimally invasive surgery and a leader in patient quality and safety outcomes.
